2. A Dreadful Finding

#20 "Conquer my fear of mice"

At one point in life I couldn't think of a single thing that I was afraid of. Height, blood/guts, dying, flying, driving, falling, etc. are not things that make me goosebump filled. But MICE. Are. Ew I shudder just thinking about them!

No, there is nothing CUTE about him!

This all began when a stinkin' cat in my horse's barn dropped a mouse that was still ALIVE at my feet. It became more of a problem when I took a hamster home from 3rd grade. The hamster, named "Hammy" (gee, weren't we creative?!), bit my finger when I was trying to get him out of his cage and he just wouldn't let go! So I might have flung him hard into the nearest wall. And he might of died. And I just might have gotten a new hamster to try to fool my classmates. ;)

My fear increased when my roomie and I were picking flowers from a field and she told me there was a little field mouse running around by us. (Yes, I did run and scream like a little girl!) And it darn near gave me a heart attack when I was on a family vacation, awake before everyone else (see I totally need to learn to sleep in!) and a little mouse shot out from under the couch I was sitting on. He struggling getting out of the door for a good 5 minutes, but I refused to move from the couch until my Aunt got up and checked that none of his friends around.

I don't do mice.

Fast forward to this morning. I was reaching underneath the kitchen sink and saw these brown/black flakes that looked like mouse poop. I screamed. Really, really, really LOUD and jumped up to sit on top of the kitchen cabinet, like the mouse was going to run out and eat me or something.

Much to my pleasure, the flakes were just from the pipes and not from a gross mouse's behind, but alas I am still deathly afraid of that little thing.

Ew.
