Inspiration

School gave my class the afternoon off b/c we're all sicker than dogs and they want us to not hack in front of our future employers and most importantly, those stinkin' cameras. Tomorrow we sign our contracts- shingles, vomiting, inability to swallow, diarrhea, rashes and ALL (Sorry the "TMI" rule gets through out the window in the medical world- we THRIVE for that kinda stuff ;))

Being med students, one would think we all we understand the illness process and figure out that stress & lack of sleep don't help our bodies function at optimal functioning. Being that we are 9 months away from being pediatric oncologists, one would think we would we would take value in having great immune systems so that we can actually touch our immunosuppressed patients. But, alas, here we are. Sicker than dogs, unable to touch our cute baldie patients and 12 hours away from one of the biggest days of our lives.

Afternoons off in med school are few and fair between, so I am enjoying every solid moment! Look what the Lord blessed me with today:

"We're in NO hurry, God. We're content to linger in the path sign-posted with Your decisions. Who You are and what You've done are all we'll ever want. Through the night my soul longs for You. Deep from within me my spirit reaches out to You." Isaiah 26:7-9 (MSG)

"When she falls, she will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds her hand." Psalm 37:4

"Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land & cultivate faithfulness.
Delight in the Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, & He will do it.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, & the justice of your cause will shine like noonday sun.
Be still in the presence of the Lord, & wait patiently for Him to act."
Psalm 37:1-7 (NASB & NLT)

Thank You Father for moments of quiet time with You. Thank You for refreshing my spirit and calming my nerves. Be with us tomorrow Lord, guard my hand on the page and my heart to the exact place You need me to be.
